Hi there, the name’s Leo, Leo Grant, LG, ‘BIG LG’ (as referred to by my awesome DJ friend Trishna), etc etc. Any of those will do.

You may know me from seeing me at live shows, from writing favourable Facebook comments about artists and their music, and from a general love of being fully immersed into the whole music thing.

What I’m now doing here is an expansion of this.

Certain people over the years have taken notice of my music-themed writings on Facebook and elsewhere and have kindly suggested to me that I might consider doing this professionally. Flattering, certainly, but not something I have a major interest in pursuing at the moment. If at all, but I reserve the right to change my mind on this.

So this, if you like, is a halfway house.

I’ve called this Enigmatic Shenanigans II as I see it as being a successor, a sequel if you will to Enigmatic Shenanigans, a blog that I made around a decade ago. That, just like now, was a just-for-fun thing, and with what I know now, it just seems appropriate to start it up again.

Especially given that I now have a guaranteed audience and following, and one that is sure to increase if I produce the goods. However, let’s be clear on this. I’m doing this, first and foremost, for ME, with others invited to check it out if they wish. If this is just to the same few people that are interested, that’s also fine by me.

It’s not for fame and fortune, or for building some kind of brand. It’s a safe, fun space where everything that I like, musically and otherwise, will be celebrated. The tone of it is more fanzine instead of hard hitting journalism.

I’m just here giving my considered opinions on what I like. And perhaps you’ll find something here of interest too.
